Description: This evidence-based program is led by a trained instructor and focuses on improving functional ability to reduce falls-related risks and frequency. In 24 sessions over 12 weeks, participants will learn simple tai chi movements transforming them into therapeutic training for balance. The movements are integrated into daily functioning, such as walking standing from sitting and moving through a crowd. The supportive network of friends formed in the program fosters a strong sense of community and leads to empowered, independent living for older adults.
