Each trainee will receive a detailed leader’s manual, a copy of the textbook Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions, and relaxation audio tape. There is NO COST for leaders in the Western Piedmont AAA region. Anyone from outside the Western Piedmont 4-county region will need to pay a $200 training fee. I have attached additional information about the program and registration form. Take advantage of this great opportunity to get involved with a proven effective Self-Management program that changes health status, self-efficacy and self-management behaviors.
Becoming a Lay Leader and volunteering to teach in the Western Piedmont AAA region has its advantages. All training materials and classroom materials (books, CDs, markers, flip charts, easel, etc). are provided by the AAA. We will help you market your classes and will collect and submit all required paperwork. We can even help provide refreshments for your participants!
