Description:   A Matter of Balance is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. This program includes eight two hour sessions for a small group led by two trained facilitators. This is a nationally recognized program that was developed at the Royal Center at Boston University. During the class, participants learn to: 1) View falls as controllable, 2) set goals for increasing activity, 3) make changes to reduce fall risk at home, and 4) exercise to increase strength and balance.

Dates:   8 sessions (1 x week) – Thursdays – September 6, 13, 20, 27, October 4, 11, 18 and 25, 2018
