Description:    A Matter of Balance is a program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among adults and improve flexibility, balance, and strength. Participants learn to view falls as controllable, set realistic goals to increase activity, change their environment to reduce risk factors, and exercise to increase strength and balance. Curriculum includes group discussions, problem solving, role-play activities, exercise training, assertiveness training, and how to develop positive strategies for change by moving from self-defeating to self-motivating thoughts. Classes meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., 2 hour sessions, for 4 weeks, for a total of 16 hours.

Dates:     Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27 and February 1, 3, 2022
