Health Coaching Training

Interested in Becoming A Health Coach?

The National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) is the national standard for Health and Wellness Coaching. In order to become a NBC-HWC one must complete an approved 75-hour training program. After the completion of the approved training program, there is a 50-hour coaching session requirement. The final step once the coaching sessions are complete is to take the national exam. This credentials exam is regulated by the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) and the International Consortium for Health & Wellness Coaching (ICHWC).

The estimated cost of training programs varies. For more information about program cost, please visit the NB-HWC approved programs.
